Vibratory Stress Relief Testing

Vibratory parts testing is used to provide for more reliable magnetic test indications during non destructive testing of engine parts as a result of any shifting of material composition. This F.A.A. accepted process is also used to remove residual stress of parts for improved parts durability.

Vibratory stress relief testing is performed by vibrating parts at a specific sub-harmonic vibration frequency while monitoring with a vibration transducer and domain spectrum analyzer to measure changes in residual stress concentrations. Using this process can improve parts longevity by removing residual stress in parts.
